How to read this page
Scores, status, and what happens next
Final means the result has been confirmed. Games without a confirmed result retain their published kickoff details until the next update. This site does not currently provide a live score feed.
Results feed straight into the rest of the site. A final score updates the two teams’ schedule pages. Results influence the AP poll, though that media vote is not a direct calculation from scores. Who a team beat matters as much as the margin.
FAQ
Scores questions
How often do scores update?
This site publishes confirmed finals in periodic updates. The date on the scores page shows the latest completed slate in the current snapshot; it is not a live scoring feed.
What does 'final' mean next to a score?
Final means the game is complete and the result is settled. Until then a game is either scheduled, if it has not kicked off, or in progress. Games that did not finish normally are marked postponed or cancelled instead.
Can I see results for just one team?
Yes. Each program's schedule page carries that team's results in date order alongside its upcoming games, which is usually easier to follow than the full slate if you only care about one team.
How do scores affect the rankings?
Results influence AP voters, but the poll is not calculated directly from scores. Voters weigh opponents and overall performance, so teams with the same record can be ranked well apart.
Why are some games missing a score?
A game with no score has not been played yet, or has not yet been reported as final. Once the result is confirmed it appears against that matchup on both the scores page and the teams' own schedule pages.
