MISS history
The best season in sixty years, and the tailgate the rest of the sport measures itself against.
MISS history
The Grove
Ole Miss game days are defined as much by what happens outside the stadium as inside it. The Grove is a ten-acre stand of oak trees in the middle of the Oxford campus that fills with tailgating tents, and it is routinely named the best pregame environment in college football.
The Walk of Champions runs straight through the middle of it: the team passes through the crowd on its way to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
MISS history
2025
Ole Miss went 13-2, a program record for wins, reached the College Football Playoff for the first time, and finished third in the final AP poll — its highest ranking in more than sixty years.
It happened through a coaching change. Lane Kiffin left for LSU late in the season and defensive coordinator Pete Golding took over for the playoff run, beating Tulane and then Georgia in the Sugar Bowl before losing a semifinal to Miami.
