OSU history
One of the most consistently successful programs in the sport, in a stadium that has been a landmark since 1922.

OSU history
The Horseshoe
Ohio Stadium opened in 1922 and has been expanded rather than replaced, which is why a game there feels older than most modern venues. Its shape gave it a nickname that has outlived every renovation.
Script Ohio, performed by the marching band since 1936, is one of the few pregame traditions in the sport that draws an audience on its own.
OSU history
A century of The Game
Ohio State against Michigan closes the regular season and has done more to define both programs than any other fixture. It has decided conference titles, playoff places and national championship races, and coaches at both schools are judged on it in a way that is not quite true elsewhere.
Recent history has been strong: Ohio State won the national championship in 2024, part of three straight titles going to Big Ten programs.
